Three Pujari aides held for shootout at builder’s office

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch have arrested three aides of fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari for a shootout in Nashik. The three allegedly opened fire at the Nashik office of Ekta Group of Builders in February. Two persons were injured in the firing. According to the police, the fourth suspect, Santosh Singh (38), who was Vikas’s brother, died in an accident.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sanjay Rambahadur Singh alias Sanjay Thapa , Arvind Chavan and Vikas Singh. The three were arrested by the Property Cell and Unit 6 of the Crime Branch. “On February 25, a receptionist and another person at Ekta Group site office in Pathardi were shot at and injured grievously. The three accused were picked up from Kurla yesterday where they were on a mission to eliminate a target,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Himanshu Roy.
